DEADKAT (เดดแคท) ศิลปิน “ไอดอล” วงแรกจากค่ายเพลงแมวดำ Blackat Records (แบล็คแคท เรคคอร์ดส์) เกิดจากการออดิชั่นผ่านรายการ IDOLCORE (ไอดอลคอร์) ที่ผลิตโดย BananaMaxTV (บานาน่าแม็กซ์ทีวี) จนได้เมมเบอร์ครบ 5 คนเมื่อปี 2564
สมาชิกทั้งหมดได้แก่ KEW-WAN (เขียวหวาน) ณัฏฐนิช วิรุฬห์วชิระ , YOKO (โยโกะ) บุษกร อำพลพีรพันธ์ , PUNCH (พันช์) ปิย์วรา ด่านวิริยะกุล , MAEMI (มาเอะมิ) พิชญา กิ่งเกตุ และ NANA (นานะ) พลอยสวย ลือบางใหญ่ หลังจากผ่านการฝึกซ้อมทั้งการร้องและการเต้น ตอนนี้ทั้ง 5 คนพร้อมแล้ว ที่จะมีผลงานเพลงเป็นของตัวเอง ที่พิเศษสุด ๆ เพราะว่าเปิดตัวพร้อมทีเดียวถึง 2 ซิงเกิล!

1. It’s Never Too Late คือ 1 ใน 2 ซิงเกิลเปิดตัวของวง DEADKAT กับดนตรีสไตล์ Metalcore ที่ไม่หนักมาก มาพร้อมเมโลดี้ที่ติดหู และมีซาวด์ที่ทันสมัย สไตล์ J-Rock (เจ-ร็อค) ยุคใหม่ ใจความของเพลงคือ “ไม่มีคำว่าสายเกินไป เพราะแค่เศษเสี้ยวความหวัง อาจจะเป็นพลังให้ทั้งชีวิตที่เหลือของเราทุกคน”

ความพิเศษอีกอย่างของ 2 เพลงนี้ก็คือ นอกจากจะได้ Koji Hirachi (โคจิ ฮิราชิ) โปรดิวเซอร์ฝีมือดี ที่ทำเพลงให้กับวง PASSCODE (พาสโค้ด) ไอดอลชื่อดังของญี่ปุ่น มาดูแลในการทำดนตรีและเนื้อเพลงที่เป็นภาษาญี่ปุ่นและอังกฤษ ยังได้ วสกร เดชสุธรรม หรือ เอส นักร้องนำวง “กล้วยไทย” (เจ้าของ 3 รางวัลสีสันอะวอร์ดส์ครั้งล่าสุด) มาเขียนเนื้อเพลงภาษาไทย และเป็นโปรดิวเซอร์ให้กับวง DEADKAT อีกด้วย
ชื่อ DEADKAT มาจากเมมเบอร์ทั้ง 5 คนเคยผ่านการเป็นไอดอลจากวงเก่าก่อนหน้ามาทุกคน แม้ต้องแยกย้ายหรือยุบวงไปเสียก่อน แต่ความฝันของพวกเธอก็ไม่เคยจบไปในวันนั้น และวันนี้พวกเธอได้รวมตัวกันเกิดใหม่อีกครั้ง เพื่อสานต่อความฝันในการเป็นไอดอล ที่มอบความสุขและสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้กับแฟนเพลง และด้วยความที่ไอดอลปกติจะมีความน่ารัก สดใส ไม่ต่างจากเจ้าแมวเหมียว แต่นี่อาจจะเป็นแมวเก้าชีวิต ที่ไม่ว่าจะตายแล้วเกิดใหม่สักกี่ครั้ง ก็ยังวิ่งไล่คว้าความฝันเดิมของตัวเองต่อไป เลยเป็นที่มาของชื่อ DEADKAT ชื่อที่ดุดันทางดนตรี (ร็อก/เมทัล) และความสดใสน่ารักแบบไอดอล (แมว)

DEADKAT, the first “IDOL” artists from Blackat Records, was born from the IDOLCORE audition program directed by BananaMaxTV. The line-up consisting of five members was completed in 2021.
All members consist of KEW-WAN (Nattanich Viroonwachira), YOKO (Bussakorn Amponpelapan), PUNCH (Pivara Danviriyagul), MAEMI (Phichaya Kinggate) and NANA (Ploysuey Luebangyai) After having trained in singing and dancing, all five members are now ready to have their own recordings, from which two singles were released at once! — 12.00 p.m. of February 14, 2022.
DEADKAT (Fleeting Lights) — the song which shares its name with the band’s title — and It’s Never Too Late, are the band’s debut singles, being presented in an intense metalcore style while bringing up addictive melodies, modern sounds and various singing styles. The lyrics are also being passed on in three languages! The songs convey the stories of lives in the “IDOL” industry all five members have been through and will be facing in the future. .

Another exclusiveness of these two songs is that both Japanese and English lyrics were composed by Koji Hirachi, a masterful sound producer who composed and arranged songs for famous Japanese idol band PASSCODE. Wassakorn “S” Dechsutham, the lead singer of “KLUAYTHAI,” and the winner of three awards from the latest Season Award stage, composed Thai lyrics and plays the role as the producer for DEADKAT.
The name “DEADKAT” came from the five members having experiences of being an idol from each of their former bands. Although they were meant to be parted or their respective bands were disbanded, the dream of each member did not just end once and for all. They are now grouped together and reborn in order to carry on their dreams of becoming an idol, who passes on happiness and inspiration to their fans and audience. Although idols basically are lovely and lively just like cats, these members are the cats with nine lives. It does not matter how many times they have to be reborn; they will still move forward and carry one, making their dream come true. This is the origin of the name “DEADKAT,” the band that features aggressive, heavy musical components (rock/metal) and idol-like cuteness and liveliness (cats).
